Dr Rade Simović

Rade Simović was born in Jabuka on 25 May in 1957. He holds a BA degree in Theatre Studies and a PhD in Literature. He is the author of the book of poems Born With a Silver Spoon, play Hamlet in the Paradise Valley of the Srpska, story book Presjeka and radio dramas The Kosovo Dinner, Priority Road and Back in Išće. He is the producer and screenwriter of documentaries Transfiguration of Jabuka Gornja, Chronicles of Jabuka's school, The Last Weekend in Sarajevo, Sarajevo - The Beginning And The End, Krst-ić and Crusaders for which he received awards in Belgrade, Minsk, Moscow and Drama. He published the anthology Drama of the Republic of Srpska - One Possible Point of View and theatrological study Drama and Identity. He works at the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska as a dramaturg.

Dr Branko Brđanin

BRANKO BRĐANIN was born in Sarajevo, on 31 March 1956. He finished elementary school in 1971, Grammar School in 1975 and the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of History of Yugoslav Literatures in Sarajevo in 1979. He attended postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade and defended his master thesis entitled Marko Kraljević from the folk poem as inspiration to Serbian drama writers in 2001, as well as the doctoral dissertation Epic heroes from Vuk's folk poems on the Kosovo Battle as characters of the new Serbian historic drama in 2006 at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Banja Luka.
